I've had a lot of fun doing a few of these quick mini paintings for Arts in the Park. This particular scene I am sure is going to get done on a larger canvas. This is the third painting I've done from a magical Christmas morning ride out to my property. 4 Wheel drive was a must on this particular drive.
Tuesday, May 24, 2011 at 8:48PM Come and see me at the Arts in the Park festival in Danville Illinois. This show is in my home town and always look forward to seeing my friends and family. It is a great show with lots of variety of art, and some great food, and music as well.

This is another mini painting I've done for the Danville Illinois Art in the Park. This shows a couple of really cool barns near my property, with a unplanted field in front of it covered in golden rod. A wet spring can mean a pretty scene and horrible allergies. I've experienced both from this field!
Monday, May 2, 2011 at 8:55PM Been spending a lot of time on my property and at work lately so I have been neglecting my painting. This is the first of a few mini paintings I am going to do for a show in Illinois in June. I have a half dozen great photographs from this meadow alone, time to turn these into some good paintings.
